A quack, a hippie, and a weirdo

When I was 10 years old my mum became a quack, a hippie, and a weirdo. All of the above.
She changed her name and started working with energy. I was 10 years old and this was out of the ordinary for me, and everyone around her. When she started doing muscle tests on me to “get answers” to the most random questions on earth, I was sure she had lost it. But I always tried to support her in anyway a teenager, grown up in a dysfunctional family, possibly could. But the most important part – she always supported me. Even though I didn’t know I really needed it at the time.

Oh, and how the tables have turned. When people ask me how I got interested in energies, crystals and tarot reading all I have to say is “I was brought up with a quack as a mum”, and I couldn’t be more proud.

When I say energy, what is the first thing you think of?
There are so many different meanings to this word.

Energy:

  • The strength and vitality required for sustained physical or mental activity.
  • Power derived from the utilization of physical or chemical resources, especially to provide light and heat or to work machines.

Energy as in voltage, food (the energy it provide and the energy food is made up of), people, situations, places, moods.

A lot of people don’t believe in energy more than in a machines, etc.
Even though that it is scientifically proven that everything is made up of energy.

So, last week I saw my chiropractor, and he was doing all of these tests with my body. It took me FIVE MINUTES to understand that he was doing the same muscle tests that my mum used to do to me when I was younger. I was blown away with how impressed I was with this man!

I can always feel my energy, and how it can shift from day to day. Can you?
