Hi, my name is Penny and I was diagnosed with Lichen Sclerosus in 2008.
I am a qualified nutritionist that obtained my Bachelor degree at The University of the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. Soon after I moved to Canada, where I became a certified yoga instructor.
When I graduated from my bachelors at the end of 2017 I had a hard time seeing what I was supposed to do with my degree, but it soon became clear to me that with my knowledge and experience I can empower other women to take control over their health, and more specifically their Lichen Sclerosus and pelvic pain, through living a lifestyle suitable to them.
To me the learning never stops and there is always something new to learn about Lichen Sclerosus and how you best can support this condition.
I work from a holistic perspective, where all things are accounted for - physical, mental, spiritual, and environmental health. I look at the evidence based research and also find the connections between foods and our conditions to make it optimal for the individual.
You know your body better than anyone else.
Seeing that conditions such as Lichen Sclerosus are often misdiagnosed I would take a wild guess and say that you have probably needed to fight for your own body to be heard. Even though you have a diagnose now, do not stop fighting, do not stop looking. There is a lot of information out there, and you might feel overwhelmed with what you "should" do, but you need to find what works for you.
I would love to be a supportive tool on your well-being journey. You are not alone. We are in this together.
